Dead Tomb goes old school on Xbox, Switch, NES

Fan of the retro point and click scene? There’s a new tale coming to the fore as Dead Tomb releases to the world. The best thing about this one? It’s available on Xbox, Nintendo Switch and NES.

Available right now from the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S is Dead Tomb. It’s priced at a mere £3.99 landing from the teams at CollectorVision Games/Acclaim and 8 Bit Legit. And yes you’re reading that right – £3.99. For a point and click adventure? What is this madness…

Dead Tomb on Xbox is proper old school gaming

In Dead Tomb you’ll find yourself thrust back into some retro gaming. It’s here where some properly old-school mechanics begin to play out, as you are dropped into Egypt 1300BC. From there, all type of weirdness plays out, as you try and work out exactly where you are, why you are out there and how the hell you can get back to the job that was at hand.

Running as a full on love letter to an early game genre that has seemingly been lost in the modern day scene, Dead Tomb has been inspired by something called Temporel Inc; a game that launched on the Videoway cable service in Canada and the UK way back when.

If you’re interested in running through this adventure then you’ll find the following key features present and correct in Dead Tomb on Xbox, Nintendo Switch and NES.

  • Enjoy puzzles and gameplay reminiscent of the glory days of point and click games
  • Immerse yourself into an intriguing story line and character interactions
  • Fantastic cutscenes
  • True 8-Bit Legit graphics
  • Bop your head to a catchy chiptune soundtrack
  • A love letter to lost video game genre that was a staple in the early days of gaming

Watch and buy now

Tempted by the addition of Dead Tomb on Xbox? Perhaps it’s that low price point that appeals? Or maybe it’s the chance to take in a long lost gaming genre? Whatever, get over to the Xbox Store, pay up the £3.99 and get playing now.

You’ll also find Dead Tomb on Nintendo Switch and NES.

Dead Tomb Game Description

Dead Tomb is a brand-new fun, point and click adventure game, that will take you back to the heyday of retro gaming. Your employer sends you on a study that takes you back in time, but as fate would have it, you find yourself in a serious predicament. A malfunction in your ship forces you to land in Egypt 1300BC where luckily you spot a huge pyramid you can set your craft down on.

Well, maybe you are not so lucky? It should be an easy fix. One you have done so many times before. It should be only a short time before you are back to your journey, right? Not so fast. The Pharaoh Seti 1st’ soldiers discover your appearance in their land and take matters into their own hands. The next thing you know, you wake up with a huge bump on your head and deep inside the pyramid. Where are you? Why are you here? Can you get out and return to your mission? Time will tell…
