Ryan Taylor

Grew up playing the Nintendo 64 where I fell in love with the Legend of Zelda series. As I got older though my console of choice changed, first to PS2, and then finally to the Xbox 360, which I've been playing on for over a decade now. And since my first day booting up my Xbox, I've upgraded consoles and even built a gaming PC. Because at the end of the day I just love gaming.

Saga of the Moon Priestess Review

I didn’t hate my time with Saga of the Moon Priestess, but there are a lot of rough edges that still need to be polished.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank Review

You'll enjoy your time with Turnip Boy a lot more on the second go around in Turnip Boy Robs a Bank.

Have a Nice Death Review

There is a lot of personality in Have a Nice Death. The animation is fluid and the character and sound design are phenomenal. It is a challenging game that doesn’t forgive mistakes, so it won’t be fun for those looking for a casual game. But if you like a roguelike that will push you to the edge, Have a Nice Death is a welcome addition to your game library.

Sentry Paragon Review

Sentry Paragon feels like a cash grab in the worst possible way.

Sail Forth Review

You have to give Sail Forth credit for its chill art design and the calming sounds which ensure sailing around is a nice enough experience.

As Far As The Eye Review

You may struggle to get into As Far As The Eye as much as you want.

The Knight Witch Review

The world of The Knight Witch is vibrant and well-crafted - if you’re open to a challenge, then it’s worth looking past the few shortcomings.

Astronite Review

Astronite is a solid Metroidvania that, whilst having some shortcomings, still manages to play out as a fun game.

Heading back to the ranch with Slime Rancher 2 on Xbox

The foundation of Slime Rancher 2 is incredibly solid, so as long as future content continues to expand and introduce new content, then it’ll shape up to be an extremely fun game.

Modern Warfare II is most definitely a Call of Duty game; a good one to boot.

Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy Review

There are a lot of unique and cool mechanics in Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy, but the performance and the gameplay need some major tweaking for it to become truly engaging.

Blind Fate: Edo No Yami Review

Blind Fate falls short in the most important area that a game should excel. The gameplay.

Akane Review

If you’re the kind of gamer who likes a challenge, intent on beating your previous score, Akane is a great game to play. There isn’t a boat load of content, but for what it costs, you shouldn’t be expecting that much.

Cult of the Lamb Review

Cult of the Lamb has made a follower out of me. Recruiting followers, building a base, and running through a gratifying loop of fighting, looting, and dying all merge into an incredibly satisfying game.

RimWorld Console Edition Review

You’ll have a lot of fun playing RimWorld Console Edition and it’s a game that you’ll find yourself constantly heading back to.

Get-A-Grip Chip and the Body Bugs Review

Get-A-Grip Chip and the Body Bugs is nearly a carbon copy of the first game, just with a reskin and some difficulty tweaks.

Get-A-Grip Chip Review

There’s no doubt that Get-A-Grip Chip is very polished. The graphics are clean, the areas and levels are themed appropriately and follow a consistent design scheme.

Deliver Us The Moon Xbox Series X|S Review

Stick through things and ensure the fix is actioned and you’ll find that Deliver Us The Moon, and the story itself, is interesting, if not a little predictable.

Beautiful Sakura: Surfing Club Review

Beautiful Sakura: Surfing Club is perhaps the most cynical, half-hearted attempt at weedling £10 out of someone’s pockets, and no amount of baby-oil and AI-generated creepy-fingers can justify its existence. If this is the future of gaming then stop the bus, because we’re getting off.
